The company expands its market: alongside traditional biz the new role of system & service integrator. Sales director Amedeo Paulone unveils the strategy: “We want to become a unique sales force able to connect with large companies, PA and telcos”
by Amedeo Paulone, Sirti Sales Director
We are experiencing a phase of huge changes which are affecting our country across the board: institutions, industry and consumers. Every day, there is talk of ultra-broadband and digitalisation of the Public Administration, consolidation of DataCentres and centralised management of software development as being key priorities for the growth of our country: the new primary requirements of an evolved society. However, it’s not just the institutions driving these developments, because, in any case, large companies are aware that, in order to survive, they need to implement more efficient and sustainable management models, rationalise their infrastructures and streamline processes and instruments. It is well-known by now that all-encompassing Ict is the cornerstone of competitiveness so much that technological decisions are left increasingly more to the Lines of Business to the detriment of the IT departments.
It isn’t a case of all these changes being set in motion at the same time. From a technological point of view, telecommunications and Ict are naturally converging towards a single entity (e.g. consider Software Defined Networks), generating market demand for entities able to offer expertise across the board and to manage all the complexities that derive from this connection. In this new competitive scenario, Sirti has decided to take on the challenge by adopting a two-pronged policy which, on the one hand, pushes to enhance its core business (fixed and mobile network deployment), and, on the other, aims to achieve a high degree of diversification of its value proposition towards Ict intensive services, BigData, Managed Services, integration of technological systems and installations etc. The results of this policy have been quick to materialise, and are proof of the confidence that our long-standing and new customers continue to show in us.
In order to successfully tackle this change, Sirti has undertaken a significant process of transformation of the company culture, targeted at offering the market its expertise. This transformation has made it possible, on the one hand, to lend substance and credibility to our proposal, and on the other, provides an informed guide which helps direct customers in the complex scenarios characterising this historic period, from the initial steps in the sale process.
The new organisational structure targets the market with a unique sales force able to connect with large enterprises, central and local public administrations and Tlc operators based on a direct touch and sell through approach.
Now Sirti presents itself as a solid and reliable End to End System & Service Integrator, a genuine “complexity manager”, independent from vendors and technologies, able to operate in Business Process Outsourcing mode. Owing to its expertise and regional coverage, Sirti is the ideal partner for managing complex and widely-distributed projects and coordinating a multitude of small and medium entities as Chain Leader.
