OUR SUSTAINABLE VISION

Thinking about society and the planet and driving business so that it is part of the solution to the challenges of mankind

The Sirti Group believes that correct, transparent and responsible conduct is a prerequisite for sustainable business development aimed at creating and protecting the value chain for all stakeholders involved.

Growth and sustainability are, in fact, the pillars of the Group, whose development strategy is based on the conviction that ethics and profit should not be at odds, as there can be no long-term economic development divorced from social and environmental development.

SIRTI SUSTAINABILITY PROGRAM

Commitment to sustainability is an integral part of our strategy

The Group has adopted a strategy focused on sustainable growth over time, valuing people, being sensitive to the social context and reducing direct and indirect environmental impact.

To this end, the ‘Sirti Sustainability Programme’ was launched, a programme of commitments and actions aimed at improving economic, environmental and social sustainability performance, both in the short term and in the long term.

RELEVANT THEMES

Our Sustainability Pillars

As evidence of our commitment to the integration of ESG principles into our business model, the Group has identified its Sustainability Pillars with the intention of contributing to the
achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), defined by the UN in Agenda 2030.

01

Human Capital Development

“In a company, it is not only financial capital that counts, but the Person: their training is of paramount importance”

We have always believed that human capital is a key factor for the competitiveness and development of our company. We strongly believe that increasing the skills, knowledge and abilities of our workers translates to excellence and competitiveness.

02

Attention to the quality of life of our people

We believe that improving the quality of life of our employees and achieving a healthy work-life balance means improving employee performance in the workplace and thus also increasing company productivity. We put in place targeted measures to promote the work-life balance of our people. The aim is to make employees not only more productive, but also happier, more motivated and more balanced.

03

Environmental protection

Sirti has always given priority to protecting the environment through the responsible use of resources. Combating climate change, energy efficiency and reducing the environmental impacts of our activities are a daily and constant commitment.
The consumption of energy resources is significant for a large company, which is why we constantly keep a close eye on electricity consumption and use technologies and measures to avoid unnecessary waste. To prove this, we consider it an absolute priority to continue investing in actions and policies that make our group increasingly sustainable.

04

Inclusion and protection of diversity

Corporate responsibility, support for equal opportunities, inclusion and overcoming stereotypes are the core themes of our corporate strategy.

We believe that protecting and enhancing diversity with dedicated measures and initiatives is a strategic lever to distinguish oneself from competitors and become a leader in the target market.

05

Technological and Sustainable Innovation

“Innovation and sustainability, a virtuous relationship for a brighter future”

For our Group, the concept of sustainability is intrinsically linked to that of digital transformation, and increasingly permeates all areas of our business, from Governance to Operations. “Sustainability” is the element that accompanies all innovation processes.

06

Proximity to the community

One of our main objectives is to be increasingly responsible and attentive to the needs of the local community with which we interact and in which we operate, seeking to create value and making our skills and services available to respond to the needs of the social fabric that surrounds us, contributing to its development.

SUSTAINABILITY 2023

The Sustainability Report 2023

Today, the world around us dances on the thread of a web that connects, end to end, every individual on Earth.
The circuits through which our lives travel are the fruit of the work that the women and men of Sirti have been doing with passion for over a century and whose aim is to connect people and things to the future.
The context in which we find ourselves is constantly changing and increasingly digital: high-speed connections are one of the most important drivers of development and the transition to a sustainable energy model has become a global priority.

In this respect, Sirti, now more than ever, is looking to renew itself in a sustainable way. The Group’s objective is to share a mission, already under way, of developing a culture of sustainability, which takes the form of communicating its activities, progress, results and future intentions.

The Sustainability Report 2023 is therefore addressed to all Group stakeholders, with the aim of making the actions taken clear and conveying the ESG objectives to stakeholders.
