Milan, 24 March 2018 – The Sirti ACC (Computer-Based Interlocking) system, with exclusive, proprietary technology, has been successfully activated at the Fortezza railway station and along the line up to Le Cave (in the province of Bolzano). The support activities therefore continue in the Technological Internalisation project of the client, Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI).
This activation is of particular importance since it involves the largest system with the highest number of railway devices in the station yard that RFI has activated independently.
Amongst the main benefits resulting from the use of the equipment is an increase in the availability and maintainability of the infrastructure, thanks also to the use of advanced diagnostic algorithms.
‘’The activation of this system, the Group’s tenth and the sixth for RFI with Sirti technology”, said Roberto Chieregati Head of the Transportation Business Unit at Sirti S.p.A., “is a true example of Sirti’s role as a player of reference in the Transportation sector and, in particular, in railway signalling. This system forms part of the technological internalisation project at RFI, after the activation of the Solero-Castello d’Annone, Castello d’Annone – Asti, Laterina-Valdarno lines and the stations at Castelvetro and Avellino.’’
