Sirti becomes Member of the UNISIG Consortium
Milan, February 14 – We are pleased to announce that starting from January 2020 Sirti is part of the UNISIG Consortium, whose role is to develop, maintain and update the ERTMS (European Railway Traffic Management System) specifications in close cooperation with the European Union Agency for Railways (ERA).
Sirti is member of UNIFE – The European Rail Industry – since 2013. As UNIFE member, Sirti has a seat in the Digitalization Platform, which is in charge of monitoring and fostering EU discussion on the digital evolution applied to the railways and, since 2018, it is part and vice-chair of the UNITEL Committee, focused on Telco systems for railways.
Sirti is also active in the H2020 Shift2Rail program, where it is working on several funded Projects. In 2018, Sirti was selected as a member of the Expert Group on the Competitiveness of the Rail Supply Industry, launched by the European Commission to analyse the main challenges facing the sector.
