In order to create Smart Cities solutions based on the Internet of Things, Sirti adopts a holistic multidimensional approach which involves a broad-spectrum analysis which covers themes of social listening and economic sustainability of solutions, with the objective of maximising the sharing of infrastructures and making time management more efficient.
Smart Urban Infrastructure
The Smart Urban Infrastructure (SUI) comprises a shared communication infrastructure that allows information to be collected from intelligent objects (devices); its common use in various solutions permits a lower urban impact in terms of street furniture and electromagnetic pollution, also optimising maintenance costs.
IIn line with this definition, Sirti proposes this type of architecture:
- the creation of a Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) (low power and low bit-rate networks for data collection from devices)
- the network integration of WSNs by identifying the most suitable infrastructures (heterogeneous networks for data transmission on the cloud)
- Transversal software platform of IOT Management (for the management of the devices and of the data generated) and open to third party systems and Big Data Analysis
- Vertical business apps that allow end users to have applications for the various areas of use (parking, lighting…)
In particular, the IOT Management platform permits the maximum integration of platforms through the Enterprise Service Bus able to harmonise different solutions, integrate them, presenting integrated data and analytics.
