David grew up in Milan, where he studied and graduated from Classical High School. He received an MA in mathematics from the University of Oxford and served as Deputy Lieutenant at the Aosta Alpine Military School, where he was Course Leader. He worked at Arthur Andersen as an analyst/programmer before obtaining an MBA at Harvard Business School. For 30 years he was at McKinsey, where he served customers in Europe, America and Asia in many sectors, leading the Industrial and Telecommunications/Hi-Tech sectors in the UK and Strategy Practice in Europe. In recent years, David has been an independent member of the boards of directors of telecommunications companies (Telecom Italia, Telekom Malaysia, Rostelecom) and a fintech company (Tungsten Network). David is also Chairman of V-Nova International, a London-based start-up with AI technologies for image and video compression, selected as the core technology for a new MPEG standard. He is also a Board Member of AICPA, a global organisation representing some 700,000 accountants, and Chairman of King’s Maths School, a high school for gifted children linked to King’s College London and specialising in mathematics, physics and computer science. Passionate about flying and a private pilot, David was a member of the Board of the American Air Museum in Great Britain in Duxford.
Born in Rome in 1965, graduated in Electronic Engineering at Padova University, married and father of three, Roberto Loiola is Sirti’s CEO. Roberto begins his career in 1991 in CSELT (Gruppo Telecom Italia) in Turin, being responsible for network quality and planning. In 1994 he joins Nokia to set up the company’s activities in Italy and then works for the start-up of Omnitel Pronto Italia (later Vodafone), where he eventually becomes head of customer service for South Europe. From 2000 he has had several managerial roles of increasing responsibility and, in 2004, he gets nominated Area VP for South Europe, and Global VP at Telecom Italia Group for Nokia Networks. In 2006, Roberto is Global Sales & Marketing Chief for BU Core Networks at the Helsinki branch of Nokia Networks. Later, he becomes the Southeast Europe region Chief for NSN (Nokia Siemens Networks). In 2010 he joins Huawei as Europe VP, which he leaves in 2014 to move on to Alcatel-Lucent Italy S.p.a. with the role of President and CEO, as well as Senior VP for South and Center Europe. With Nokia’s acquisition of Alcatel Lucent in 2015, Roberto returns to Nokia as Senior VP of Global Customer Unit and CEO in Italy.
Matthew J. Allen
Business Unit Energy & CEO Sirti Energia
Born in 1973, he is head of the Energy Business Unit and CEO of Sirti Energia. A graduate in Electronic Engineering in 1997 from the University of Pavia, Matthew obtained a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Washington Foster School Business in 2005. From 1997 to 2009 he began his brilliant career with Nokia (later Nokia Siemens Networks) in Italy and the United States, holding prestigious roles. In 2010 he founded Terwatt, taking responsibility for strategic and commercial aspects immediately. He joined Sirti in 2018 with the aim of undertaking a strategic path aimed at developing the business line dedicated to the Energy market.
Born in 1968, he is head of Engineering for the Business Unit Wireline & Wireless Infrastructure at Sirti. Mario joined Sirti after a long experience in multinational corporations operating in the Telecommunications industry: Siemens, Huawei, Alcaltel-Lucent and Nokia, where he held sales and commercial roles with progressively increasing responsibility, at domestic and international level. The Engineering Function defines and promotes the technical solutions and services offered by Sirti.
Sales Area TIM
Born in 1972, he is head of the Sales Department, Telecom Italia and Fastweb Accounts. Following a series of major stints at large multinational firms, including Alcatel Lucent, Ericsson Telecomunicazioni and H3G, joined Sirti in 2011, first in the ICT department for the development of new business and later as Presales Manager of the Large Customers Division. Has been responsible for the management of some of Sirti’s main customers since 2015, Telecom Italia, and since 2017 Fastweb as well. A graduate in Electronic Engineering from the Federico II University of Naples, Raffaele Celentano participated in various managerial programmes and achieved the “Media & Telco” Executive Master’s at the Milan MIP.

Luca Corti: Born in 1975, graduated in Electronic Engineering at the Politecnico of Milan, Luca developed his career in some of the mains ICT companies in the global marketplace like Siemens, Huawei, Alcatel-Lucent and Nokia with growing responsibilities in sales and head of sales domain mainly for the domestic market. He has started in Sirti since the end of 2017 as Head of Sales for the customers Open Fiber, Infratel and Fastweb.
Compliance, Quality & EHS (CRO)
Born in 1975, he is head of the Compliance, Quality & Environment, Health, Safety (EHS) function. Ercole joined SIRTI after a career in GDF Suez first and then in Engie where he held senior positions with increasing responsibilities both in Italy and abroad. The Compliance, Quality & EHS function has the task of guaranteeing the integrated supervision of the compliance activities of the operational processes with respect to the reference regulatory framework, the governance of management systems and the monitoring of environmental and health and safety issues.
Business Unit Transportation
Born in 1967, he is Head of the Transportation Business Unit. He deals with the strengthening of Sirti’s positioning with particular focus on strategic diversification. Chieregati started his career at Sirti, dealing with thansport business in the rail and urban area from the outset.
Benedetto Di Salvo
Business Unit Digital solutions
Born in 1960, Benedetto Di Salvo is Vice President ICT Digital solutions. He began his career at FINSIEL in 1984 as software developer and later joined the Finmeccanica Group as defense system designer. Benedetto joined Sirti at the end of 2017 after a long career in big multinational companies in the ICT industry, started in 1994 at Ericsson and then Huawei and Nokia, with progressively increasing roles and responsibilities in sales and operations for the domestic and international market. In his latest work experience in Nokia, Benedetto was responsible for Vodafone in: Turkey, Greece, Albania, Romania, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Hungary. Benedetto is president of Wellcomm Enginnerig.
Administration Finance & Control (CFO)
Born in 1962, Marco Gandini joined Sirti as Chief Financial Officer in January 2017 after a long experience in multinational corporations operating in the Telecommunications and ICT sector. As head of the Administration, Finance and Control Department he is responsible of planning, controlling and budget and coordinates the financial assets of the Group.
Pietro Urbano Mimmo

Born in 1979, he is the head of Innovation & Marketing. Urbano started his career at Sirti in 2006 in the ICT department, overseeing a process of growth that has gradually extended from the technical sphere to the commercial domain. In 2013, becomes Presales Manager for Northern Italy, in the Telecommunications and Large Customers Division. Since 2015 Head of Communications & Relationship Marketing. Since 2018, Head of Innovation & communication. Since 2020 is in charge for Innovation & Marketing
Born in 1969, he is Vice President Operations. Andrea joined Sirti after a career at Ericsson, where he held operational roles with increasing responsibilities both in Italy and abroad (Balkans, Libya, Israel) and Customer Unit Head in Algerian and Tunisia. In his latest work experience in Ericsson, Andrea was Head Of Networks & Managed Services Delivery – Customer Unit Italy & South East Mediterranean. He has started in Sirti of May 2018.
Transformation Strategic Planning and M&A
Born in 1973, Alessandro Pasqualin is Vice President of the Trasformation Strategic Planning and M&A. Joined Sirti after a long experience in multinational corporations operating in the Telecommunications as TIM and British Telecom. Alessandro has developed experience and knowledge in the field of operations, he has been CFO of BT Italia, Tim Vision, Luna Rossa Challenge, Netesi and Epiclink, part of Pirelli. He performed senior positions in the Corporate field as Head of Group Valuations for the Financial Statements, in the Investment Commitee, IPO and M&A Committee. In addittion, Andrea gained experience in operational roles with increasing responsibilities both in Italy and abroad.
Human Resources, Organization and Communication
Born in 1977, he is head of the Human Resources, Organization and Communication. Perrone joined Sirti after many years’ experience at Telecom as Head of Organisation for various areas. Previously, he worked for KPMG Advisory and at the Benetton Group.
Procurement & Supply Chain
Born in 1983, he is head of the Procurement & Supply Chain. He obtained the Master’s Degree in Management Engineering at the Polytechnic of Milan, and joined Sirti in 2008, in the Finance environment, where he began his career as foreign companies’ controller first and as a commercial controller later. In 2013, he became responsible for the Bid Management Department, initially for the market Large Account, and then in all sales departments in cross optics. The responsibility for Business Operations function was given in 2015 , which ensures to him the garrison end to end of the planning process and commercial control and offer management.
Sales Wind|3, Galata, Vodafone
Born in 1968, he is head of sales account Wind3, Galata, Vodafone. A graduate from the Turin Polytechnic, he started to work for Sirti straight away in the Operations department, where he held roles with gradually more responsibility. Specifically, he was responsible for the Wireless Business Unit at national level. From 2003 he has handled sales, with growing responsibilities and budgets. He recently made a significant contribution to the growth of Sirti’s presence in the Radio-mobile market through the acquisition of the BTN contract with Wind.
Corporate, Legal & Public Affairs
Born in 1977, he is head of the Legal and Corporate Affairs Department of the Sirti Group. Following a number of stints at national and international law firms, he has been Head of the Legal and Corporate Affairs Department since 2014, responsible for the direction, monitoring and management of legal and corporate matters for the entire Group, as well as civil and administrative disputes.
AD di Wellcomm Engineering
Born in 1961, he is Managing Director of Wellcomm Engineering SpA A company specializing in Cyber Security. He began his career in 1987 in Honeywell Control System, in Milan, in the automation systems division. Subsequently he joined Sinted SpA a joint venture of Sirti, Honeywell, Bull for the design of Intelligent Building systems, where he held the role of network manager. In 1996 he was co-founder of Wellcomm Engineering. From April 2019 Wellcomm Engineeering is Sirti Digital Solution’s Line of Business.
Born in 1976, he is head of the Internal Audit Department. After a first professional experience in Arthur Andersen, he held the position of Head of Internal Audit for a listed company for two years leading internal auditing, compliance, risk management and process analysis. From June 2019, he began to support and collaborate with the Board of Directors and Management in assessing and strengthening the internal control system and in improving efficiency and conventional efficiency. He also covers the role of member of the Body Authority pursuant to Legislative Decree 231/2001 of Sirti SpA.
AD Sirti Alliance (SAI)
Born in 1969, he is AD Sirti Alliance (SAI). Riboldi joined Sirti after a career at Lucent Technologies first and Alcatel Lucent later, where he held operational and commercial roles with progressively increasing responsibility, both in Italy and abroad, on local and global customers. In 2017 he has become responsible for the International Activities Dept. of Sirti with the task of securing the leadership of the commercial pipeline for foreign activities. Riboldi obtained the Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering at the Politecnico of Milan, where he attended different management and leadership courses.
